A 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck Willze County, Qujing City, in Yunnan Province, China, on March 29, triggered by a 7.9-magnitude earthquake that occurred in Myanmar on March 28. According to experts from the Yunnan Provincial Earthquake Bureau, the quake was a small-scale seismic activity in the aftershock area of the 2014 Ludian earthquake, which had a magnitude of 6.5. The earthquake occurred at 6:50 pm local time, and as of now, there have been no reports of casualties or property damage. The earthquake was felt strongly in several cities in Yunnan Province, including Qujing, Kunming, and Puer. Experts have judged that the impact of the Myanmar earthquake on China is limited, as the earthquake's rupture mainly occurred towards the south, in the direction of Bangkok, Thailand.
