America's Dad" Charged with Groping Stepdaughter and Holding Surprise Party While She Slept

The man, who goes by the nickname "Tank", was arrested on Tuesday after a warrant was issued for his arrest, according to the US Federal Bureau of Investigation.

"It is alleged that he has engaged in a pattern of predatory behavior towards his stepdaughter," an FBI spokesman said in a statement.

"In addition, he is alleged to have held a surprise party for her while she was asleep in her bedroom, then groped her while she slept."

The man is also accused of making a series of false and defamatory statements about his stepdaughter's mother on social media.

He is said to have claimed that she was a "crazy bitch" and had been cheating on her husband.

The man has not yet entered a plea but is due to be arraigned in court on Tuesday.

Tank has been denied bail and is being held at the Harlingen Detention Center in Texas.

His attorney declined to comment when contacted by the BBC.
