The Great Summer Festival, the final celebration of the year's summer season, has arrived amidst sweltering heat. Today, temperatures in Shanghai reached 34°C (93.2°F), with humidity levels reaching 95%-75%. The entire Loess Plateau, situated within the Yellow River Basin, experienced full greening due to the increased rainfall and high temperatures.

The sudden clarification of the Yellow River's water has been attributed to the growth of vegetation in the Loess Plateau. This region now boasts a 70% forest cover, compared to its previous state with only 0.9% forest cover. The transformation has directly influenced the river's water quality and clarity.

Shanghai experienced relatively normal temperatures this year, avoiding extreme heat conditions. However, with the El Niño phenomenon in play, the city is expected to experience a gradual increase in temperature during the first half of August. The upcoming typhoon season may also impact East China and Shanghai, preventing further heatwaves until early August.

In Shencheng, the weather remains consistent with cloudy skies and occasional showers or thunderstorms. Temperatures range from 27°C to 33°C (80.6°F to 91.4°F), accompanied by a southerly wind of 3-4 mph, gusting up to 7-9 mph during thunderstorms. Relative humidity levels are high at 95%-75%, exacerbating the hot and humid feeling across the region.
