Fast food giant KFC has responded to a customer's complaint of finding raw meat in their purchased chicken bites, according to a recent series of tweets on China's popular social media platform, Weibo. The incident has sparked widespread debate and concern among Weibo users, many of whom are now questioning the safety of KFC's food and the handling of this particular issue.

On January 10th, a Weibo user posted a message claiming that they had found raw meat in their purchased chicken bites from KFC. In response to this post, the popular news account '@东方财经' reached out to the involved KFC branch for comment. The staff member they spoke with indicated that the store is actively working on resolving the issue: "We have already been dealing with this, and our manager is in contact with the customer."

When asked about the reason behind the raw meat being found in the chicken bites, the KFC staff member stated: "I can't share more information with you because you're not the one involved in the situation." This response has left many Weibo users unhappy and confused, with various opinions and speculations being shared as a result.

Some users believe that the incident is simply a result of staff error, as suggested by the following tweet: "Whenever something like this happens, it's usually due to human error. It's not a big deal; just admit the mistake and move on." Others are quick to question the exact nature of the issue, as seen in this tweet: "Is it like when you order medium-rare steak? Just wondering if raw chicken is safe to eat."

Many Weibo users have also taken the opportunity to compare KFC's food and service to those offered by its competitors, such as McDonald's and Burger King. One user commented: "KFC seems to have more issues with their food quality and delivery fees than others." Another noted: "I personally prefer McDonald's to KFC these days."

Despite some users suggesting that KFC should simply come clean about the issue, the staff member's response has left many questioning the company's transparency. This is evidenced by this tweet: "Why can't they just admit it was their mistake? Why don't they want to share the details with the public? There must be another reason."

Interestingly, some users also pointed out that the KFC staff member's assertion that they couldn't share information with the public because they weren't directly involved in the situation might technically be true, but still felt uncomfortable to many: "Even though what they said makes sense, it just doesn't sit well with me."

Several users have called for KFC to take responsibility for the incident and provide a clear explanation to the public, as seen in this tweet: "They should at least come out and address the issue publicly. It wouldn't hurt their business, and most people would still buy their products."

Others have expressed concern about the incident's potential impact on KFC's reputation and sales, as seen in this tweet: "Even though I love KFC, incidents like these can seriously damage their brand. It's important for them to be transparent and take corrective action."

As the debate continues to unfold on Weibo, many users are also sharing their own experiences with food quality issues and expressing their disappointment with the current state of food safety in the country. One user wrote: "It seems like food safety is becoming more and more of a problem. We need to start taking better care of our customers' health."

For now, KFC has yet to release a public statement addressing the issue, leaving many Chinese consumers questioning the safety and quality of their fast food options.
