According to reports, the incident occurred in March when the two 37-year-old men, who were working with the victim at the laundry shop, told him "You stink, so go into the washing machine" before putting him inside the machine and turning it on. The victim suffered multiple injuries and required two weeks to recover.

The washing machine used in the incident was a 2-meter long drum-type machine, typically used for washing large items like stuffed animals and tent fabrics. The two suspects, who have been arrested, reportedly made light of the situation, saying "You're too smelly, so you go into the washing machine."

The incident has sparked outrage on social media, with many users expressing shock and disbelief at the cruelty of the act. "You're too smelly, so you go into the washing machine" - who does that? commented one user. Another user wrote, "This is not just about a particular region or country, this is about humanity. It's unacceptable no matter where you are."

Some users have also questioned why the perpetrators resorted to such violence instead of using legal means to resolve the issue. "Why do people always choose to use such cruel methods to deal with others? Can't they just use the law to resolve problems?" asked one user.

Others have expressed concern about the social environment that allows such incidents to occur. "Is this really the kind of society we want to live in? The temperature of society is really low," wrote one user.

The incident has also raised questions about the treatment of people with intellectual disabilities. "Zhao has no family or friends, they can do whatever they want? But in the end, it's themselves who get hurt," commented one user.
