In recent days, South China Airlines has been making headlines with its sudden sale of low-cost tickets for domestic flights out of Chengdu that were successfully bought by several passengers and paid for as well. The cheap fares had led to heated discussions on social media platform Weibo.

According to reports from CAIOLIUXUE, the airline offered discounted prices on certain domestic flights involving multiple routes into and out of Chengdu, with tickets priced between 10 and 30 yuan. Many customers were able to purchase these low-cost tickets successfully, causing quite a stir among the netizens on Weibo.
One user stated, "South China Airlines is flooding us with discounts! Go, duck! It's worth the price of the vegetables." Another one chimed in, "The Flying Goddess Girl Marica is so busy tonight. Everyone is stealing the wool of Southern Airlines. Whether or not they have stolen, I don't know. But the atmosphere has been set up well anyway. Look at me, very nervous."
However, some netizens were skeptical about the sudden sale and questioned why no one had informed them about it directly and simply. "Why isn't anyone telling me? Can it be direct and simple please," said a frustrated user.
On the other hand, Weibo users also celebrated China Southern Airlines' record-breaking achievement of transporting over 1 million passengers at Kashgar Lianning International Airport in 2023. The airline had increased its capacity allocation for wide-body aircraft during peak season and set a new record for the year with 6819 flights executed.
In line with this, Southwest Airlines also made headlines as it offered compensation to passengers who were affected by their ticket-selling controversy. The airline called each person to apologize and offered a compensation of 200 yuan per person to those who had their tickets cancelled due to the issue.
