After conducting preliminary investigations, the Bureau confirmed that the events depicted in the video had indeed transpired. In response to the incident, the Xiangxiang City Education Bureau has arranged for a team of professional psychologists to provide counseling to the affected student.
They have also vowed to take strict disciplinary action against the teacher in accordance with relevant policies, while implementing measures to reinforce teacher morality and conduct to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. A few users pointed out that such incidents were more common in the past but have become less frequent in recent years as educational standards have improved. In light of the incident, the Xiangxiang City Education Bureau has released guidelines on appropriate teacher conduct, including verbal reprimands, detention, and suspension from extracurricular activities as potential disciplinary measures.

The video serves as a stark reminder of the importance of addressing physical and verbal abuse in schools and upholding the dignity and safety of students.
It also highlights the need for continued vigilance and open communication channels to ensure that incidents of abuse are reported and dealt with swiftly and effectively. In the wake of the Xiangxiang incident, it is hoped that schools and education authorities across China will take proactive steps to prevent similar occurrences and ensure that teachers adhere to the highest standards of conduct and professionalism. By working together, educators, parents, and the wider community can create a nurturing and supportive environment where every student can thrive academically and personally.
