China's Navy Celebrates 76th Anniversary with Largest-Ever Fleet Display
The 76th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy is a significant milestone, and the navy is pulling out all the stops to celebrate this momentous occasion. On April 23rd, the navy will synchronizedly hold vessel open-day activities in over 10 coastal cities, with more than 30 active vessels making their public debut. This event marks the largest-scale vessel open-day activity in the history of the PLA Navy, with the most types of vessels and the largest number of vessels participating.

As part of the celebration, the navy will open its doors to the public, allowing citizens to tour and explore various types of vessels, including the 075-type amphibious assault ship, 071-type comprehensive landing ship, 052C/D-type guided-missile destroyer, 054A-type and 056A-type guided-missile frigate, 903-type comprehensive supply ship, and 022-type missile boat. These vessels have all played crucial roles in various military operations, including the escort mission in the Gulf of Aden and international military exercises. The open-day activities will take place in numerous cities, including Qinhuangdao, Tianjin, Qingdao, Lianyungang, Taizhou, Shanghai, Ningbo, Zhoushan, Wenzhou, Ningde, Xiamen, Shantou, Guangzhou, Zhanjiang, Haikou, and Sanya.
In Qingdao, the naval vessels are on display at the Olympic Sailing Center, where visitors can marvel at the advanced technology and equipment on board.
