Giant Panda 'Qing Yin' Dies from Rare and Deadly Intestinal Condition: A Tragic Loss for the Panda Community
In a tragic turn of events, the beloved giant panda, known as "Qing Yin" or "Green Dough" in English, has passed away due to a rare and dangerous condition. The China Giant Panda Protection and Research Center announced that the female panda, born in June 2022, died on March 23rd, 2023, after battling a severe intestinal blockage and subsequent intestinal volvulus, a condition where a part of the intestine twists around itself, causing a blockage.

Qing Yin's health struggles began on March 2nd, when she was diagnosed with an intestinal blockage.
