As the Southwest and Northeast regions of mainland China brace for strong rainfall and frequent gusts of wind, a more significant threat looms in the form of Typhoon Dusuri. The typhoon is expected to make landfall along the coast of central Fujian before moving towards eastern Guangdong, according to the latest weather forecasts from China's Central Weather Bureau.

The path of the super-strong (17 levels) typhoon is largely confined to the southern coast of Fujian, with its sea area experiencing warmer temperatures that are likely to contribute to maintaining the storm's intensity. In light of this, officials have called for heightened vigilance and personal precautions in advance of the typhoon.

The Central Weather Bureau has been closely monitoring the typhoon's progress alongside multiple wind chasing reporters from Fujian and Guangdong. They aim to provide live updates on China Weather Live, offering a direct look at the storm's impact.

With Dusuri being the fifth typhoon to hit this year, residents of Xiamen have been rushing to stock up on supplies and prepare for the worst-case scenario. In anticipation of the storm, Chen Jiageng Memorial Hall has closed since July 26th at 12:00 p.m., with an announcement to follow regarding its reopening time. Jimei Aoyuan Scenic Area, including Aoyuan, Jiageng Park, and Mr. Chen Jiageng's former residence, has also been closed since the same time, causing inconvenience to visitors.

In a bid to stay safe during the typhoon days, residents are urged to take personal precautions such as securing doors and windows that may not shut properly, fixing open balconies' clutter, and stocking up on emergency supplies in advance of possible secondary disasters such as flooding and urban waterlogging.

As the typhoon continues its path towards China, netizens have taken to social media platforms like Weibo to express their concerns and reactions. Some users are worried about potential property damage and inconveniences caused by the storm,
